Conservation Council makes Presentation in Bathurst
"An Illustrated Presentation (slides) On Low Impact
Forestry" by David Coombs of The Conservation Council of New
Brunswick , will take place on February 21, at the monthly meeting of
Sustainable Development, Bathurst. The general public is welcome to
attend. The meeting will be held at The Rosewood Inn, St. Patrick
Street, 7:00 pm .

Climate Change Deliberations To Be Held In Bathurst and Caraquet
Sustainable Development, Bathurst, in partnership with The
Atlantic Council for International
Cooperation and The Falls Brook Center , has been asked to lead
three Public Deliberation Sessions on Climate Change, in Northern New
Brunswick. Public input from these sessions and other sessions being
held in several areas of The Maritimes and the New England States ,
will be included in Provincial reports that will be presented at The
Eastern Premiers Conference on Climate Change in Fredericton in late
March. Each of the evening sessions need 15 interested persons to
attend. If you would like to participate in these public discussions

attendance. The sessions begin at 6:30 pm each evening and will finish
at 9:30 pm.

"Eco Award" to be presented for Contributions to
Environmental Health In Northern New Brunswick
April 17, 2001 , will see the presentation of the first "Eco
Award" presented in Northern New Brunswick. The award will honor
the contributions and leadership made to the environmental health of
Northern New Brunswick by either an individual, business, industry,
organization or group of individuals. Nominations for the award will
be accepted until March 1, 2001, and should be forwarded in writing to
:Sustainable Development, Bathurst, 284 St. Patrick Street, Bathurst,
E2A1C9 or by fax at 545-7838.
The award will be presented at The Eco Award Banquet, at the Gowan
Brae Golf and Country Club on April 17.
Tickets for the banquet are now on sale and may be obtained by
