CaraquetBathurst Sustainable Development has received six nominations to be considered for the winner of this years ECO AWARD. The nominees are:

(3) From Tracadie-Sheila, Centre de Développement de l'enfant de Tracadie
( Tracadie Child Development Center)(4) From Bathurst, Nepisiquit Salmon Association
(5) From Lamèque, Hilaire Chiasson & Rose-Aline Chiasson, Naturalists
(6) For Conservation of ecologically significant lands in our region, The
Nature Conservancy of CanadaThe Eco Award is being presented by Bathurst Sustainable Development to honor the contribution to the ecological health of Northeastern New Brunswick.
An independent selection committee comprised of citizens from our region will choose the Eco Award final recipient. The recipient will be announced at The Eco Award Banquet and Clean Environment Trade Show on April 17, at the Gowan Brae Golf and Country Club in Bathurst. Over one hundred environmentalists, municipal leaders, partners , citizens and interested government departments will be in attendance to honor the nominees and recipient. A few tickets are still available for the banquet and may be purchased by calling the Bathurst Sustainable Development office at
548-2106. Tickets must be purchased by April 6 and are $20 per person.
