St. Croix Estuary Project

Located in St. Andrews New Brunswick, the St. Croix Estuary Project strives to promote the wise management of the St. Croix Estuary area and its resources. Established in 1992, SCEP is one of the original sites of the Atlantic Coastal Action Program ACAP sponsored by Environment Canada. SCEP is unique from other ACAP sites in that its location is on an international boundary. Our board of directors represent both the residents of Washington County, Maine and Charlotte County, New Brunswick.

In the past, SCEP's work has focused on monitoring water quality and the qualification of resources in our area. This effort culminated in the development of a comprehensive environmental management plan for the St. Croix Estuary and surrounding areas. As our community moves into the future, we will be implementing this plan, bringing about positive environmental change and a healthier, more prosperous community
